Track and Apply for Funding Opportunities

WaterISAC endeavors to identify ways to make investing in security and resilience at water and wastewater utilities more affordable, including by highlighting no and low-cost solutions. Another way to reduce financial burdens is to get assistance from any of the number of funding opportunities that exist, such as those from the federal government. In today’s and last week’s Security & Resilience Updates, WaterISAC posted about recently announced funding opportunities from FEMA, the first of which has $1.5 billion available to help protect communities from terrorism and other threats. Another best practice is to pre-plan for funding opportunities, so that your utility can be best positioned to apply when they are announced (and win!).
