In a new National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) Bulletin issued yesterday, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated the country remains in a heightened threat environment and that upcoming events, such as the winter holiday season, could be exploited by assailants to justify or commit acts of violence. Threat actors could attack a range of possible targets, including critical infrastructure and government facilities and personnel.
