(TLP:AMBER+STRICT) The U.S. and Israeli conflict with Iran has swung back closer to the resumption of major combat operations, as the supposed ceasefire appears to be breaking down. Over the past few days, the U.S. and Iran have exchanged multiple rounds of fire.
Cyber Risk
Recent developments highlight Iranian cyber actors and affiliated groups remain active in targeting U.S. critical infrastructure and continue to seek opportunities to exploit exposed systems. Today, the Handala hacktivist group claimed on its website to have compromised unspecified water facilities in California. The group stated the alleged attack was retaliation for missile strikes targeting schools in Minab, Iran, and it warned that future U.S. actions would be met with “far more devastating” attacks against U.S. infrastructure.
