Whether your utility sanctions the use of AI, are considering it, or banning it all together, it’s no surprise there are concerns and risks regarding this exploding technology. Recent research and proof-of-concept revolves around AI integrations into various platforms that could lead to data leaks or account takeovers. Regardless of your utility’s official stance, as with (shadow) IT, some users may take it upon themselves to use the technology within your environment, with or without consent. As such, it’s prudent to maintain awareness of the risks and guidance to reduce that risk.
