Today, continuing our Champions program educational resources, we are pleased to release the final module, Module 5, of SANS free cybersecurity training for WaterISAC members. Currently available on our member portal, the fifth training module focuses on understanding and managing risk – a successful ICS cybersecurity strategy balances defense and offense. ICS brings cyber digital controls to aid risk-based management. This training module describes how organizations can identify vulnerabilities by understanding adversaries and includes safe and informed mitigation, workarounds, and monitoring for pre-positioning and pre-exploitation attack attempts. It also includes a nuanced discussion of the probability of exploitation, where, and how an adversary gets into the system. Take advantage of this valuable membership benefit today!
