The National Hurricane Center (NHC) reports an area of low pressure is forecast to develop off the southeastern U.S. coast later today and bring tropical storm force winds, storm surge, heavy rain, and high surf to large portions of the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic beginning Friday and into the weekend.
