Going back to at least 2017, there have been warnings about the security risks of using drones manufactured in China, including for critical infrastructure. Despite the warnings, these drones have continued to dominate the market, accounting for almost 90 percent of the consumer market in North America and over 70 percent of the industrial market as of 2021.
