FEMA Releases New Continuity Exercise Starter Kits

FEMA has released two new Continuity of Operations Exercise Starter Kits to help jurisdictions and organizations be more prepared to continue to perform essential functions and provide services when typical operations are derailed. The two new kits – Maintaining Whole Community Resilience and Continuity and Maintaining Federal Mission Resilience and Continuity – complement another kit that was released over the summer, Reconstituting Operations During the COVID-19 Pandemic. The kits can help organizations facilitate their own exercises, such as workshops and tabletop exercises (TTXs), to examine their readiness for a range of threats and hazards. They include facilitator/evaluator guides, sample conduct slides, and situation manuals. The materials can be customized to develop an actionable roadmap for exercises guided by a facilitator within an organization, tailored to its unique needs and missions. Access the kits at FEMA (scroll to the bottom of the webpage).
