Water Sector Cyber Resilience Briefing – CISA’s No-Cost Cyber Vulnerability Scanning for Water Utilities, Tool Walkthrough and Member Testimonial

On February 25 at 2 pm ET, WaterISAC will convene its monthly Water Sector Cyber Resilience Briefing webinar. In this month’s webinar, WaterISAC is pleased to invite CISA to present and showcase its No-Cost Cyber Vulnerability Scanning tool. The webinar will feature a high-level overview of how the service works, an overview of the types of conditions including anonymized summaries of scanned results of water entities, as well as a testimonial by a WaterISAC member utility who will share their experience utilizing this remarkable service.

As threat actors continue targeting vulnerabilities in network edge devices, a trend that appears to be increasing in intensity, the urgency to protect against these types of threats is greater than ever. CISA’s vulnerability scanning service helps utilities do just that.

Since the program began, WaterISAC has always strongly encouraged members to take advantage of CISA’s free vulnerability scanning. Utilities that have participated have mentioned their continued resilience to cyber attacks and their ability to respond to vulnerabilities due to the information CISA provides in its weekly reports to participants.
