Wednesday, September 22, 2021, 2:00 – 3:00 PM ET

Join WaterISAC on September 22 as it continues a special series of briefings focused on its 15 Cybersecurity Fundamentals for Water and Wastewater Utilities.

Join WaterISAC on September 22 as it continues a special series of briefings focused on its 15 Cybersecurity Fundamentals for Water and Wastewater Utilities. During this briefing Jim Brown, the managing partner and principal consultant of information security company nGuard, will discuss three additional Fundamentals, specifically:

#4 – Enforce User Access Controls
#7 – Embrace Vulnerability Management
#9 – Develop and Enforce Cybersecurity Policies and Procedures (Governance)

Jim will explore these Fundamentals from the perspective of what his company has observed when working with organizations – including water and wastewater utilities – to improve the security of their systems. Jim will cite these experiences to emphasize the importance of the three Fundamentals and how adopting them can help utilities prevent, respond to, and mitigate the effects of incidents. This briefing will also include a Q&A session, when Jim will take questions and comments from the audience.

This and other briefings in this series on the 15 Cybersecurity Fundamentals will be held during the times for WaterISAC’s Water Sector Cyber Threat Web Briefings, normally scheduled for the fourth Wednesday of most months.
