Summary: On Tuesday, the White House announced the launch of Gold Eagle, a clearinghouse intended to coordinate the identification, prioritization, and remediation of cyber vulnerabilities across U.S. critical infrastructure. Established under the June 2, 2026, Executive Order 14409, “Promoting Advanced Artificial Intelligence Innovation and Security,” Gold Eagle brings together the White House, the Department of the Treasury, DHS through CISA, and the Department of War with open-source software providers and critical infrastructure operators. The initiative will leverage frontier AI models to detect exploits and deliver prioritized, actionable threat and remediation information to defenders in government and the private sector. According to the White House, Gold Eagle has already begun ingesting and prioritizing vulnerability reports.
