Verify Vendor Remote Access

Third-party vendors often require remote access to support critical systems, but those connections can also introduce risk if they are not properly managed. WaterISAC encourages utilities to review vendor access on a regular basis, ensure remote connections are enabled only when needed, and require multifactor authentication for all remote access. Confirming that vendors follow your organization’s security requirements can help reduce the risk of unauthorized access through trusted third parties.
