Strengthening Supply Chain Resilience – EPA Releases Chemical Supply Chain Tool

EPA’s Water Security Division has just released a free online tool for water and wastewater utilities to increase their chemical supply chain resilience. This new program, the Water Treatment Chemical Suppliers and Manufacturers Locator Tool, is hosted on GeoPlatform and allows water and wastewater utilities to search for suppliers and manufacturers across the U.S. that may be able to fulfill their chemical supply needs and help prevent supply chain disruptions. This tool can benefit utilities searching for alternative chemical suppliers during supply chain disruptions, such as the chlorine supply chain disruptions that occurred last summer, and thus represents an important new method for utilities to strengthen their resilience in multiple contingencies. Access the tool at EPA.
