During WaterISAC’s Cyber Threat Briefing tomorrow, Daniel dos Santos, Head of Security Research at Forescout’s Vedere Labs, will discuss the potential for “Ransomware for IoT,” or “R4IoT.” In a report published in early June (reported on by WaterISAC for its June 2 Security and Resilience Update), Vedere Labs described how IoT devices can be exploited for initial access and lateral movement to IT and OT devices, with the objective of causing physical disruption.
