(TLP:AMBER+STRICT) Since WaterISAC’s last situational update, U.S. and Israeli forces have continued strikes against Iran, while the Iranians have escalated their attacks on maritime shipping in the region. The Iranian attacks and the subsequent disruption of maritime shipping transiting the Strait of Hormuz have heightened the risk of a global economic disruption and supply chain impacts. Additionally, WaterISAC has learned of a potential disruption involving a chemical used by water utilities in the U.S. Amid the ongoing conflict, cyber and physical security risks to critical infrastructure organizations continue to develop.
