(TLP:AMBER+STRICT) The U.S.-Iran conflict continues to oscillate between diplomatic talks and military activity. Over the weekend, the U.S. was set to re-launch major combat operations against Iran. However, U.S. President Donald Trump paused the strikes to allow additional time for negations centered on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. As of this writing, the U.S. and Iran are reportedly close to a new arrangement to reopen commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz via talks mediated by Oman, although Tehran says Washington isn’t formally part of those talks
