Power Fully Restored to All Customers Following Incidents at Washington State Electric Substations

Power has been fully restored for thousands of customers in Washington state after they lost electricity due to acts of vandalism at four electric substations on Christmas Day. The identity and motive of the perpetrators are still unknown. However, this incident along with attacks against electric substations in North Carolina early this month and extremist propaganda advocating for attacks on critical infrastructure underscore the increasing physical threats to critical infrastructure and requires critical infrastructure owners and operators to maintain a heightened state of vigilance.
