Response and recovery efforts from the impacts of Hurricane Idalia are underway in the Southeast, including in Florida where numerous water utilities are reported to have been affected. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall and flash flooding continue over eastern portions of the Carolinas, where the center of Idalia has passed and is now offshore in the Atlantic Ocean.
