August 13, 2019

The NCCIC has published an advisory on an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability in Siemens SCALANCE X switches. All versions of SCALANCE X-200, X-200IRT, and X-200RNA are affected. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could cause a denial-of-service condition. Siemens has identified specific workarounds and mitigations users can apply to reduce the risk. The NCCIC also recommends a series of measures to mitigate the vulnerability. Read the advisory at CISA.
