EPA recently made available a training video on Community-Based Water Resiliency (CBWR), which seeks to help drinking water and wastewater utilities and critical infrastructure and community partners to better communicate and coordinate with each other. The video focuses on preparing for and working through a potential water outage in a community. It is comprised of three sections:

  1. Water Sector Interdependencies: Addresses the mutual reliance between the water sector and other critical infrastructure sectors;
  2. Scenarios: Demonstrates various water service interruptions and how to work with interdependent sectors to prepare; and
  3. The CBWR Guide: Provides resources and planning tools to prepare for a water emergency.

The CBWR Online Training can be accessed via EPA’s Communities and Utilities Partnering for Water Resilience webpage or directly at YouTube.
