WaterISAC is passing along this announcement regarding a hearing for members’ awareness. As indicated below, the hearing was open to the public and press and was live streamed. If you missed the live stream, members are encouraged to view the recording at House.gov.

The discussion focused on the potential disruptions to operations and safety risks posed by Operational Technology (OT) threats, and explored the necessary measures required to enhance the security of OT in the water sector. In his written testimony, Robert M. Lee, CEO and Co-founder at Dragos, describes that the majority of cybersecurity investment in our nation has gone toward information technology (IT) networks, and “less emphasis was traditionally placed on cybersecurity for operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS).” For more information regarding today’s hearing, access Industrial Cyber.
