CISA Requests Public Comment for Draft National Cyber Incident Response Plan Update

Author: Chase Snow

Categories: Cybersecurity, Federal & State Resources, Security Preparedness

This week, CISA released the National Cyber Incident Response Plan Update Public Comment Draft. The draft requests public comment on the National Cyber Incident Response Plan (NCIRP)—the public comment period is currently open and concludes on January 15, 2025.

Since the NCIRP’s initial publication in 2016, CISA conducted extensive collaboration with public and private organizations and federal agencies to build upon the NCIRP. The NCIRP details a national approach to coordinating cyber incident detection and response. This request for comment offers critical infrastructure stakeholders an opportunity to provide their knowledge and experiences on the NCIRP. Access the full public comment draft at CISA.
