The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has compiled and published a list of free cybersecurity services and tools to help organizations reduce cybersecurity risk and strengthen resiliency. Before reviewing the free tools and services, CISA strongly recommends organizations take specific foundational measures to implement a strong cybersecurity program. These foundational steps include fixing known security flaws in software, implementing multifactor authentication, halting bad cyber practices, signing up for CISA’s Cyber Hygiene Vulnerability Scanning Service, and reducing your attack surface by getting your “Stuff Off Search (S.O.S.).” Finally, CISA encourages all organizations to review its Shields Up webpage to find recommended actions on protecting your most critical assets.
