With continued evidence of climate change and the impacts it brings, including from a UN report released last week and an update last month on NOAA’s tally of billion-dollar disasters, the question now becomes what adaptation strategies should water and wastewater utilities employ to protect themselves? To help with these decisions, the RAND Corporation has released a report examining and assessing the effectiveness of the adaptation strategies available to help protect the services provided by critical infrastructure, referred to as “National Critical Functions (NCFs).”
