WaterISAC Welcomes Continued Support from Founding 
WaterISAC Champion – 1898 & Co. 

WaterISAC Champions enhance water and wastewater sector security.

WASHINGTON, D.C., May 7— WaterISAC welcomes the continued support of its esteemed WaterISAC Champions founding member – 1898 & Co.  A part of Burns & McDonnell, 1898 & Co. is a global business, technology, and security consultancy serving critical infrastructure industries. Within their Security & Risk Consulting practice lies a dedicated team, built by practitioners for practitioners, focused solely on cybersecurity services and solutions for critical infrastructure asset owners. Their mission? To bolster and improve cyber risk management, resiliency, preparedness, and response capabilities for critical infrastructure asset owners across water utilities and other critical infrastructure sectors.   

From its inception in 2022, WaterISAC’s Champion program found an ally in 1898 & Co., a company deeply embedded in the water sector’s fabric. Offering support, 1898 & Co. assists water and wastewater asset owners in a myriad of ways, from devising cyber strategies and roadmaps to incident response plan development and active response services. Through managed threat detection and response services for water and wastewater utilities, 1898 & Co. has been instrumental in fortifying the sector against evolving threats.

1898 & Co. maintains extensive relationships across the private and public sector critical infrastructure, including intelligence sharing programs like ETHOS Intelligence Sharing Association (https://www.ethos-org.io/), homeland security, and intelligence communities with expertise in working with Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISACs) and Organizations (ISAOs). 1898 & Co. will support WaterISAC events and initiatives throughout the year.
