WaterISAC and the National Rural Water Association (NRWA) recently announced a formal collaboration effort intended to educate rural utilities across the country about both cyber and physical security threats. The collaboration comes in hopes to increase resilience efforts among some of the country’s smallest and often overlooked utilities, including 25,000 NRWA members that serve populations of 3,300 or fewer. NRWA CEO Matt Holmes said, “This partnership will bring even more resources to our smallest members, who often have the fewest resources to combat cyber and physical security threats.”

Eligible NRWA members will receive access to WaterISAC’s twice-weekly Security & Resilience Update (SRU), its regular schedule of threat briefings, the extensive Resource Center, and WaterISAC’s H2OSecCon all-hazard conferences at member rates.

John Sullivan, Chairman of the WaterISAC Board of Managers, said, “WaterISAC is pleased to be able to bring its wealth of information and resources to our nation’s smallest water utilities, as it has done for over 20 years for our largest utilities.”
