DHS Bombing Prevention Online Awareness Courses – April Convenings

During the month of April, the Office of Bombing Prevention (OBP), which resides within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), is providing virtual instructor-led training (VILT) awareness courses for first responders, public safety personnel, and private sector partners. The courses provide basic bombing prevention information ranging from improved explosive device (IED) construction and classification to the terrorist attack cycle. All courses are conducted with a live instructor and are open to anyone. WaterISAC has posted a flyer regarding the VILT courses below.

  • For more information and to register for a course visit the OBP VILT Schedule/Registration Page. Select the desired course and date from the listings and you will be automatically directed to the online application process. Registration must be completed two business days prior to class start date.
  • A FEMA Student Identification (SID) number and Password are required to apply.  If you don’t have a FEMA SID one can be obtained by going to: https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid/register.
