Summary: The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJOHSP), the state’s fusion center, has published its “2025 Threat Assessment,” report. Similar to last year, the assessment highlights enduring homegrown violent and racially motivated extremism threats, in addition to elevated cybersecurity risks and foreign nation-state threats.

Summary: Last month, DHS’s Science and Technology Directorate published a best practices guidebook to help critical infrastructure owners and operators secure and enhance the resilience of their operations associated with positioning, navigation, and timing services.

Summary: In early January 2025, the City of Richmond’s drinking water utility suffered a power outage following severe winter weather that resulted in loss of water service for customers throughout its service area. The City of Richmond recently published a draft After-Action Assessment report that offers important lessons learned and mitigation recommendations.

(TLP:CLEAR) March 12, 2025 WaterISAC Informational Webinar

Summary: WaterISAC held its quarterly Informational Webinar on Wednesday, June 11. The webinar provided members and non-members a chance to meet the WaterISAC team and learn about how WaterISAC operates. Staff members provided attendees with sector-related updates on public policy, cybersecurity threats, and physical security threats. In addition, the WaterISAC team discussed member benefits, upcoming events, special programs, and tips and tricks on how to maximize the member portal.

Summary: The Combating Terrorism Center (CTC) at West Point published its “Sentinel” magazine for February 2025. This latest issue analyzes the Islamic State’s online propaganda ecosystem, as well as how the Los Angeles Police Department is preparing to secure upcoming international events in its city.
