In a recent podcast, WaterISAC Director of Infrastructure Cyber Defense Jennifer Lyn Walker and Director of Preparedness and Response Charles Egli discussed WaterISAC’s background, mission, and evolution and the threats facing the water and wastewater sector.

The interview for the podcast was conducted by Andy Jabbour, the co-founder and Managing Director of the Gate 15 company. Andy led Jennifer and Charles through the discussion with questions asking about WaterISAC’s background and mission and how it helps secure and prepare the water and wastewater sector for the variety of threats it faces. As Jennifer and Charles explained, these threats manifest in cyber, physical, and natural environments and are constantly evolving, which in turn has led WaterISAC to adapt its approaches to best meet the needs of the sector. They noted some of the new products and services offered by WaterISAC, including briefing series for physical security and natural disaster threats and case studies highlighting challenges faced by utilities and the lessons learned and best practices they captured in finding solutions. Gate 15 hosts a series of podcasts, which include interviews like this one with security professionals, practitioners, and partners.
