Last year, Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA) in North Carolina experienced a direct hit from Hurricane Florence. Despite the high winds and flooding, CFPUA weathered the hurricane largely unscathed. This was due in large part to advance preparation in previous years, as well as effective response measures by CFPUA during and after the storm.
Learn how CFPUA prepared in advance for hurricanes such as Florence – as well as other possible disasters – and what measures the utility took during and after the storm to ensure the utility could continue to provide necessary services. The webinar will offer many helpful tips appropriate for any sort of disaster preparedness.
Eric Hatcher, CFPUA Security and Emergency Manager
The webinar recording, slide and other materials will posted to WaterISAC’s website after the event.
