April 2019 Water Sector Cyber Threat Briefing by WaterISAC

Wednesday, April 24, 2019, 2:00 – 3:00 PM ET (Members Only)

We all know that most breaches gain their initial foothold by using phishing emails. But did you know that content filtering can prevent many breaches from happening? Learn about the importance of content filtering and some best practices for email filtering during WaterISAC’s monthly Water Sector Cyber Threat Web Briefing on April 24.

Jared Hrabak, a consulting cybersecurity engineer for IT technology company cSTOR and a lead handler for the Arizona Cyber Threat Response Center, will discuss email filtering techniques to prevent breaches. He will share technical knowledge gained from real-world experience, lessons learned, and efficient best practices that helped over 150 organizations be better protected.

This session goes beyond the typical email filtering best practices and provides a technical perspective geared towards systems administrators, analysts, and engineers. Jared will discuss technical control measures to mitigate many types of attacks, such as URL rewriting and URL category blocks.

This is the first of a two-part webinar series on content filtering Jared will present to WaterISAC members. He will discuss web filtering during the May Water Sector Cyber Threat Briefing.

For WaterISAC members only.
